Gene Barton

Okolona City Attorney

Gene Barton has been practicing law for 43 years since January 1978. He is currently serving as City Attorney for the City of Okolona since 2005. He has served as a Youth Court Prosecutor in Lee County, a Public Defender in Lee County, a Public Defender Pontotoc County, and serves as City Prosecutor in the City of Okolona. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a BA in Psychology and a JD in Law. He and his wife Cindy live in Okolona, Mississippi and have several children; three of which live in the City of Okolona. He has four grandchildren. He attends First Baptist Church of Okolona.
